As always, the Cantina Comunale of la Morra has the honour to present the new Barolo vintage through a great event: HILL BAROLO, on 24th and 25th June 2017. This year with something new: Sicily and its wines are going to be involved.
On Saturday, 24th June Piedmont and Sicily, equally beautiful regions even if so different in climate, soil and traditions are going to meet, creating an interesting opportunity to grasp the unique features of their products.
Special guests: Sebastiano De Bartoli, winemaker in Pantelleria and Marsala; Alberto Giacomo Manzo, oenologist in Marsala; and Gaspare Triolo, winemaker of Grillo and Cataratto grape varieties in Palermo.
In the first part of the evening the Barolo 2013 is going to be presented in the Cantina Comunale by oenologist Sergio Molino and by Prof. Armando Gambera. To be followed by a gala dinner.
Barolo from La Morra is going to be the star of the event, but dry (as aperitif) and sweet wines from Sicily are going to be offered too, in order to celebrate the union of these two wonderful territories.
