Our story begins in the 70s, when Gianfranco Bovio, renowned restaurateur of La Morra, decides to relaunch the small family business at the time led by his father, Alessandro Bovio. With determination, He starts the renovation of the old cellar and plants new vineyards, dedicating himself with fervor to his own production.
The official debut took place in 1976 with its first nebbiolo; followed in 1977 the famous Barolo Gattera and in 1985 the renowned Barolo Arborina, which became over time our most historical and emblematic crus.
In the following years, new land was acquired and important extension works were carried out, such as the construction of the underground barrel and the local fermentation. Currently the property covers 10 hectares rented for the majority in the municipality of La Morra with the exception of the vineyard Parussi located in Castiglione Falletto. The production is around 65,000 bottles per year distributed over 11 references.
The winery is now in its fourth generation, it is Alessandra Bovio, daughter of Gianfranco, her husband Marco and their daughter Elisa who continue to keep alive the family tradition through their passion for viticulture and the production of quality wines.
